Topic: ADI-2 DAC FS integration (auto wake, Android)

Hello,

I'm currently using 2 RME ADI-2 DAC FS (v3) :
- one on my desktop (hooked through USB on a PC)
- one for my home-cinema (hooked through USB to a Nvidia Shield).

1/ On both setup I've to manually power on/off the DAC by hand, it could be nice to have an auto wake feature when the DAC detects audio (or power for usb ?) on its inputs (USB in my case, but SPDIF or coaxial too).

2/ The Nvidia Shield has an universal remote which can do vol+/- and power on/off on external devices ( TV, projector, AVR, soundbar) but it doesn't know RME devices and it can't learn remote controls codes.

It's very handy to have only one remote to drive everything but it uses its own remote codes database (see at 00:40 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEP5SeQTLPQ). Would be nice to have RME remote codes integrated in Android to be able to only use the Shield remote to drive the all setup instead of having RME remote for sound & power and the Shield remote for everything else.

Could something can be done about those features ?

cheers,

Re: ADI-2 DAC FS integration (auto wake, Android)

Regarding auto-wake-up:
ADI-2 can’t detect any audio input signals in power off state, as it’s completely inactive then, except for the IR Remote power on.
This might open an option once the IR-commands are available for your remote.
