Topic: Record windows audio inside cubase with loopback totalmix

Hello, I routed windows audio to the ADAT 3/4 + activated the loopback function in totalmix.

I can see the stereo IN channel in cubase reacting to windows audio but if I add an audio track and set the input to stereo in, then I activate  "monitor" to actual hear windows audio in that audio track, there's a huge build up in sound like there's an infinite loop and I am forced to quickly disable everything.

Any idea ?

Re: Record windows audio inside cubase with loopback totalmix

You created a feedback loop.
You send sound from Cubase to output channels 3/4 where the Windows sound is and the Loopback.

In Cubase select other output channels, let's say output channels 1/2.
Edit :
Change the routing in Totalmix. Don't send the Cubase sound to the output 3/4
or change the Loopback, use another channel for the Loopback.

Don’t activate monitor. Monitor it direct through TotalMix. As above you created a loop.
