Topic: Fireface UCX II vs Genelec 8040B

Dear RME comunity ,

I've just upgraded from  Babyface pro to Fireface UCX II , but now I noticed that my monitors Genelec 8040B have only the XLR inputs.

Could  you please  advise how to connect them to this device? Using XLR-TRS  adapters? And will this affect the signal quality?

It is very strange that the lower class card (Babyface pro) has Main XLR out's , but this one not.

Yes. Corresponding cables of various lengths are available, just make sure to order them with the correct XLR gender (you need TRS male to XLR male cables).

No.

Nothing strange. 1/4" TRS allows for higher connector density on a panel, and it's an industry standard for audio interfaces.
