Topic: Need help connecting UFX+ to Mac Studio

Greeting all! I'm looking for help to find the best way to connect my UFX+ to my Mac Studio (M1 Max 2022).

I'm making the leap from a Babyface, and I'm excited to get set up.

The UFX+ works with the USB 3.0 B to A cable that came with the unit, but won't work with a USB 3.0 B to C cable I already have. I'm guessing that it's an issue with the quality of the cable.

Ideally I'm looking for a 2 or 3 metre cable, with a USB C connection to plug into my Mac. I'm having a hard time finding cables with those connectors (USB 3.0 B to C) — and I'm afraid that if I do find one, it may not work (like the one I already have). I would consider using a USB A port rather than C if I have to.

There's also the possibility of using Thunderbolt, but I'm unfamiliar with the format and concerned about the cost of adapters. Also, is a Thunderbolt 2 cable the same as mini display port cable? As I mentioned, I'm a noob with this, so be kind!

Any advice or wisdom is welcome. Thanks folks!

Re: Need help connecting UFX+ to Mac Studio

Here are a couple links for USB 3.0 (type B) to USB-C cables. I've used all of these successfully.

https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Ty … 00UXKTJE0/
https://www.amazon.com/CableCreation-Th … 0D734BWYV/

Thunderbolt is not the same as mini display, it just has the same plug.

To offer an alternative, cables from Lindy are also very well.
