Topic: Need help routing external gear....

Hi,

im using my prism sound titan as an AD Converter and is connected via adat to raydat.
The Titan mixer is very confusing so since 3 days ive been trying to connect my boum but it doesnt work after 2 days im getting signal into the boum but nothings coming back.

This is how I set it up:

Boum out - > interface in 3/4
Interface out - > 5/6

In ableton on external Audio Plugin if I choose Audio to 5/6 I get no signal at all whe nI choose 1/2 I get signal on the boum but also the clean signal on my monitors also when I mute 5/6 on my Titan no signal on the boum. So in order for the boum getting signal I have to unmute 5/6 on my titan but choose audio to 1/2 in ableton external audio device very strange and I dont get no return signal in ableton. When i Connect my headphones directly to the boum everything works fine but I also hear the clean signal on my monitors.

This is how evrything is setup I woul reallllllyyy appreciate some help because im desperate and had never such an issue.

Thanks!

Hi Ocelot

The screenshot of Totalmix is somehow useless,
please provide a screenshot with the full mixer view and play some signal.
Additional screenshot of the RME Settings would be good, is the Adat port set to SPDIF by mistake ?
And what is this, Boum ?

It sounds like you're running into a pretty complex routing issue with your setup. Since you're using a Prism Sound Titan and the Boum, there are a few layers to consider — both in terms of AD/DA routing as well as in Ableton's external audio routing.

Titan Mixer: Make sure only channels 5/6 are unmuted for the return signal from the Boum. Channels 1/2 (clean) should be muted to avoid it bleeding into your monitors.

Ableton External Audio Effect:

Set Output to 3/4 (Boum output).
Set Input to 5/6 (Boum return to Ableton).
ADAT Routing: Double-check your ADAT routing between the Titan and Raydat. Ensure everything is mapped correctly (Titan Out to Raydat In).

The key is making sure the right channels are active and routed correctly in both Titan and Ableton. Try this and see if it clears up the signal mess!
