Topic: ADI-2 and ADAT

Hi folks, I’m trying to connect an external converter (a Black Lion Audio Revolution EXP fwiw) to my ADI-2 FS R (the black edition unit). I’ve played with different settings but can’t get more than the default two input channels in my Mac. The ADI is set as the master, and the BLA unit seems to sync to it.

Yes, I know the ADI can only do two channels over the optical link. I only need two.

Any pointers or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Re: ADI-2 and ADAT

I see there is probably a little problem in the user manual.
Page 64 of the user manual ADI-2 Pro FS R BE :
The number of available channels depends on the current Class Compliant mode: 2 channels I/O
when set to Stereo, 6 in / 8 out when set to Multi-channel. See chapter 14.1.3. Note: changing
the CC-Mode requires to temporarily disconnect the interface from the computer.

But this chapter is missing, after 14.1.2 comes 14.1.4

I'm not sure if this is the right user manual for your device, but I think you have to switch the device to multichannel mode

M1-Sequoia, Madiface Pro, Digiface USB, Babyface silver and blue

Re: ADI-2 and ADAT

I don’t recall seeing a multi channel
option, do you remember where that is?
