Topic: Fireface UC w/ Hardware Stereo Master Bus Processor

Hi all. I've been a happy owner of a Fireface UC (Firewire) for 6 years and in that time I've always worked ITB. I'm starting to expand into a hybrid work environment (recently bought a couple hardware preamps) and am interested in getting a hardware stereo master buss processor. The unit has two XLR outs and two XLR ins. Given my Fireface only has two XLR ins, is there a way to connect said stereo master buss processor to my Fireface in a way that doesn't cause any issues (I've read some posts discussing clocking and such) with the final audio mixdown?

Thanks much!
Duane

You can simply connect to the TRS line inputs with a suitable cable. There are no clocking issues to be considered with an analog connection.

Thanks for the quick reply.

OK so for instance I could use two TRS to XLR cables out of two 1/4" TRS outs (on the back of the Fireface) into the hardware stereo master buss processor and then standard XLR cables to go from the processor to the two XLR ins on the Fireface OR two more TRS to XLR cables to go into the 1/4" TRS ins on the back of the Fireface (which would keep all cables in back of the Fireface (tidier)?
