Topic: M1 mac not seeing Babyface after Firmware update

I did a flash update of my first generation Babyface device to Version 226. Then updated drivers. But my M1 mac no longer sees the device as an Audio Interface at all. Anyone with a clue on what could have gone wrong and how I can resolve this problem. I have tried to find a way to reverse the updates to no avail.

What MacOS is running ?
What driver version is in use ?
Did you check in the system preferences / general / startup-items & extensions / Driver extensions
hit the i-symbol at the right end side, a switch may reveal who must be ON

Maybe in PC mode? I remember the original baby has to switched to Mac but could be wrong.

That was the original Fireface UC, not the Babyface, the Babyface can be in CC-mode and indeed, this should be checked as well.

Press and hold the two buttons RECALL and SELECT during power up will flip between CC-mode and normal-mode.
