Topic: Download .wav from DURECorder

In TotalMix there are recordings stored on the SSD. Would be very convenient if we could download the .wav files from TotalMix app instead of connecting SSD to the computer.

Re: Download .wav from DURECorder

The DuRec USB port has limited bandwidth compared to the computer USB ports.
It's faster to download the files when the USB stick is connected directly to the computer.

It is USB 2. We use e.g. USB3 sticks because they usually use the better controllers that are able to transfer the full supported number of channels without interruption. As there is no buffer memory, the controller must transmit continuously without any interruption.

Re: Download .wav from DURECorder

hi waedi, ramses,

I think what undefinedman means, is just transferring the wav files directly from the usb stick/ssd/whatever to the computer, without having to plug out the media from the unit and plug in to computer...

I also think bandwidth/speed is not his main priority for this.

I also have sometimes similar situations, too:
It would just be handy if you could transfer the recorded wav file directly to the computer instead of plugging the usb stick/ssd from unit to computer.
Of course a durec record/play through TM/unit should be "disabled" while transferring.
And yes, its USB2 speed - so, for large (3 hours multitrack sessions, it makes no sense. but for multiple small 1-10 minute recordings, it would be a nice additional feature in my mind.
