Topic: bitperfect output from iOS 18.1.1 device (iPhone 16 PRO)

Hello.
I'm testing bitperfect output from iOS 18.1.1 device (iPhone 16 PRO) to ADI 2 DAC FS.

For that, I'm using the RME bitperfect test tracks.
Connected with usb2 A-B cable and Apple USB-C adapter.

Result.

Onkyo Player --> bitperfect 16/24/32 bit any sample rate of the test files (curiosly it downsample any Sample Rate beyond 192 kHz... but test files are limited to 192 kHz...)

Neutron --> seems NOT bitperfect. Sample rate switching OK but the bitrate popup on ADI 2 doesn't show at all.

Apple Music --> NOT bitperfect. Sample rate switching OK. The bitrate popup on ADI 2 doesn't show for 16 bit files, shows as 16 bit for 24 bit files and rapidly switches from 16 to 24 bit for 32 bit files.

I'very puzzled, because usually the problems are related to sampling rate not being honored, here the issue is on bitrate.

Someone have tested the same or with previous version of iOS ?

Neutron works if you set it up to work straight, means disable EQ, Dither, SRC etc.

yeah, correct!
I have disabled everything that processes sound in Neutron and set also "bitperfect" profile for the current audio ouput, anyway the RME test tracks fail to display the result in ADI DAC display.

iOS 18 BUG?
I try also to post on Neutron Forum.
