Topic: RME Multiface I ;high pitched noise, changing as I change samplerate

Hello,
I own this old but trusted unit, and some time ago I realised I can hear a very high pitched contstant sound coming from all
8 outputs on the back+front headphone output.
I tried changing buffer size and various options in Hammerfall DSP settings but nothing fixed my issue, except when going from:
96khz down to 88.2,then the sound is barely audible so it doesnt ruin playback on quiet parts.
same thing with 48khz,high pitch noise just a bit lower in volume than 96khz.

Can anyone give me an idea what it could be and how to fix it?
If i need to explain anything in more detail I can, just write here or in a private message.
Thanks,
Demijan

Check the power supply, maybe try a different one.

I found this thread because I have the same issue. My setup is 1x Multiface + 2x Digiface. All powered via their HDSP cards, no external power supplies. Any idea what the issue could be then? The high pitched noise is there in 48 KHz and 96 KHz sample rates, but not in 44.1 KHz and 88.2 KHz.

If you have nothing connected to the Multiface except the hdsp card and headphones, is the noise still there on your headphones?
