Topic: DIGICheck not working correctly after the latest Win 11 24h2 update

DIGICheck NG cannot find the audio interface after the latest Windows 11 update. Using Babyface Pro. Old Digicheck doesn't start altogether. Otherwise audio interface and totalmix works ok as per usual.

Re: DIGICheck not working correctly after the latest Win 11 24h2 update

I would try ASIO-reset.
In the device-manager RME audio device : disable and re-enable it.

M1-Sequoia, Madiface Pro, Digiface USB, Babyface silver and blue

That didn't work but I reinstalled the driver and that solved the problem. You were right that it was some sort of ASIO issue because the driver wasn't showing up in Ableton either. Thanks!

Re: DIGICheck not working correctly after the latest Win 11 24h2 update

It's not digicheck that is the problem. Core isolation is blocking asio.sys...I have loads of problems with it just now..been onto Asus etc.

It seems the code is either dodgy or the file is unsigned...honestly I think the past 2 weeks have turned me into a serial murderer of baby kittens

1) Disable core isolaton;
2) asio.sys has nothing to do with ASIO or RME, it's been explained here numerous times. Point your finger at Taiwan.

Re: DIGICheck not working correctly after the latest Win 11 24h2 update

I had similar experience.  After the update 24h2 the rme asio driver was gone from my daw (sequoia). it reapperared eventually. I had the same asio.sys failure Message.
I ignored it.
So something is happening with the rme driver imho despite all finger pointing to Taiwan...

AsIO.sys is the driver of ASUS PC Probe hardware control utility. Of course the Core Isolation feature of Windows 11 would not allow this driver since it tries to access hardware directly over SMbus or similar interface, which is not exposed to kernel-mode drivers when the Windows kernel runs in a hypervisor (this is what the Core Isolation/VBS is about).

What RME, ASIO, or USB interfaces have to do with this?
