Topic: Anyone having problems with windows 11 24h2?

All sorts of crazy goings on since the update which is driving me more insane than I am usually.

Core isolation is flagging up asio.sys which is basically killed my ableton and also wavelab. I've got reason working but it's not running in asio.

BTW the problem is with an Asus file not RME.

Maybe try turning Core Isolation off?

There are many reports of various problems with 24H2 (not specific to RME).
Every Windows 11 user should postpone the update to 24H2 for at least one to two months.

I updated two of my test systems, had driver problems and stability issues (BSOD). I have rolled back to the image backup before 24H2. A friend of mine updated his minimalistic development system and had no problems so far.

Always make a backup image of your system before you carry out a complete Windows upgrade so you are able to roll back. I can highly recommend TeraByte Image for Windows.

But that obviously won't help you with your specific problem.

I had to reinstall the Windows USB driver for MADIface. Now everything works: ASIO: ASIO MADIface USB as Output, RME DigiCheck NG and ADI-2 Remote.

BTW: Can someone correct the subject please, windows 11 24h4 is irritating.

I also had to manually reinstall the RME drivers for my ADI-2 Pro FS, but other than that everything's been working fine since I upgraded to 24H2.

tried that too man..it didn't work. I've had 2 rather long emails from Asus who have suggested an ever increasingly long and complex solution. The first email didn't work, the second I'm just about to test.

got it. you basically (well i had to) uninstall all audio cards and disable your onboard and restart, then instal drivers for the rme. smile
