Topic: Swipe to scroll large Totalmix workspace with trackpad?

Hi,
I've been looking into adding a pair of Ferrofish Pulse 16's to the UFX+ to replace passive patchbays and use Totalmix for all routing - but I just tried installing the latest USB Driverkit driver to compare the most up to date Totalmix.app with the older driver I have been running:

I'm used to working with channels that are mostly all visible on a single Totalmix window but, am I right in thinking Totalmix still doesn't respond to the Apple trackpad or Magic Mouse in swiping left and right to the higher MADI channels? It seems the only way to reach the higher numbered channels is to grab and move the bottom scrollbar under the rows of ins/outs. If this is the only way to interact with the UI I will have to rethink this plan...

Please tell me I'm missing a setting somewhere?

Yes I also had to grab the scrollbar. Could be an improvement to have mouse-over swiping.

Best workaround is to hide unused channels. Menu Options / Channel layout lets you select every channel for being visible or hidden.
Customize Totalmix to your demand.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately this would be negating my reason to set up all the extra i/o with the Ferrofish units, the plan is to use Totalmix as a patchbay for outboard FX (I already have all instruments/mics coming in on UFX+ and a pair of Audient ASP880's, but would like to put every FX unit onto the Ferrofish via MADI)

If I have to hide channels to manage the size of it, then it's putting them even more out of reach than just a scroll to the right. I guess the only way I can get all of the gear onto a single Totalmix window is to shrink the percentage to 70% or use the iPad app.

Point the mouse cursor over a scrollbar and use scroll up/down instead of left/right.

Additionally make use of the scroll location markers (see TM help chapter "3.12 Scroll Location Markers"). They are exactly there for your use case.

This does nothing on the Mac.

I'm aware of the markers but it's an extremely inelegant way to get around the lack of built in OS-based scrolling in Totalmix. It's 2024, any app with a scrollbar on MacOS will scroll with the mouse or trackpad. Except Totalmix.

Don’t know why. But in my case it works. I use both: A Magic Mouse and a 3rd party windows mouse.

+1 for this as a feature request. Been thinking it for years….

it works very well. MacbookAir trackpad : mouse-arrow on scrollbar two fingers swipe up or down - scrollbar moves left/right
