Topic: UCX firewire thru thunderbolt does not work on Macbook M4 OS 15.1

Old Macbook got stolen an hour before showtime, so now trying to get my setup working for the next show on an brand new Macbook M4, OS 15.1
Updated the USB, Flash and Fire Wire driver, using all the instructions form the website and ReadMe.

USB is running. But the FireWire connection fails. I am using an Apple Thunderbolt 3->2 cable, Apple Thunderbolt 2-> firewire cable and a firewire.
The lights come up, but then no connection to the software is established, the signal lights keep blinking, like some heavy digital noise is going on (I didn't dare te listen).

What could be the problem?

Thanks.

USB is running. But the FireWire connection fails

You already asked and got an answer here:

Quite confusing what you want... So did you connect and use your UCX via its Firewire or USB Port at all?
Both connections are not possible to be used at same time...

Well, I used to run via FireWire. That is not working at tje moment, although lights start blinking.
USB seems to work. I tried both connections. I was not planing to use them simultaneously of course. I don't understand the confusion. I want the firewire port to work.

I have installed version 341 on a MacBook M4 running Sequoia.

So you installed the Firewire driver (v.341) - which is a KEXT(!) - as Jeff already mentioned.

Read again from https://rme-audio.de/rme-macos.html:

Open Startup Security Utility (Not necessary for DriverKit Drivers)
Boot the M1 or up computer in Recovery mode (turn it on with the power button pressed until the screen shows the startup options are loaded)
Select Options, then your language
In the top menu go to Utilities -> Startup Security Utility. Select the system where the RME drivers will be installed
Continue with -> Security Policy
Select Reduced Security -> Allow user management of kernel extensions from identified developers
Reboot you computer

Also, these steps ar described in the video:
https://rme-audio.de/reduced-security-mac-m-series.html

After setting this and reboot, install your kext driver again.

And check if there is sth like this after install - before and after rebooting:
