Topic: Setup Adi2 FS with no remote

Hi
Just bought a used Adi2 FS v1 with no remote or manual. Can someone point me in the right direction on initial setup? Should I update firmware first? I've ordered a remote from RME USA.

ADI-2 FS does not work with a remote, nor does it have any consumer-facing interface to update its firmware (if it even has one).

The manuals for RME products are all available on the RME web site.

Typically nothing to configure for basic use, plug and play in factory default settings.

Do a Full Factory Reset: to eliminate every possible misconfiguration.


Reset:

While powering up, push and hold the VOL button (NOT the VOLUME dial) and Encoder 1, until you see the message: “Reset done“.

User Setups and EQ Presets are not deleted.


Full Factory Reset:

While powering up, push and hold the VOL button (NOT the VOLUME dial) and Encoder 1 and Encoder 2, until you see the message: “Reset done“.

All user Setups and EQ Presets are deleted.
Take notes before, or store them through the Remote App, if you want to keep some.



You might even want to update the firmware to the newest version for the latest benefits, but don’t hurry with that.
What number does the boot-up screen show?
