Topic: ADI-2 Remote: (...) - no response [SOLVED]

The remote app suddenly does not work!

The remote app recognises my ADI-2 DAC and its S/N,
and shows "disconnected" when I disconnect it or turn it off.

But when the DAC is on, the title bar shows "no response"

The DAC itself works flawlessly and even the "DigiCheck NG" shows no problem.

I've already tried restarting MacOS and reinstalling the app.
I can't figure out what caused this.


My System:
M1 iMac 2021, Sonoma 14.2.1
ADI-2 DAC fs with ESS chip

Test a different USB cable and/or port.

Thanks for reply.

After testing different cable/port, which wasn't the solution though,
I thought I should try factory reset first before asking for another solution.

Then I found out that MIDI Control in the Options section inadvertently turned OFF.
Switching it ON solved my problem!

I just replaced my ADI-2 DAC with a 2/4 Pro SE.  I have this same issue: the ADI remote app states "no response", though it does recognize that I now have a 2/4.

I tried a different USB cable and port.

I uninstalled the ADI remote app and re-installed with the latest version.

The 2/4 is playing fine but the app still won't recognize the unit.

I do not see a MIDI option under settings.

If you do not see a MIDI Control option then you need a firmware update on the unit.

Well that did it, thank you.  I had updated the driver but hadn't thought of the firmware.

Though I still do not see a MIDI option under settings in the remote app.

There is no such option. It's only in the unit's display menu.
