Topic: Apparently impossible to set up Babyface!!!!?

Hello,

I just bought a Babyface Pro FX, naively believing it would be simple to set up ahead of a studio session at the weekend.

I downloaded and installed the drivers for my Mac. When I restarted my computer, the Totalmix and RME settings icons appeared at the bottom of the screen, but when I pressed them, no windows appeared! The two pieces of software appeared active in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen, but as I said, no mixer or anything else appeared.

I can't even hear anything in some headphones despite a signal from a mic going into the interface.

My last interface, an Audient, was zero hassle. And I was led to believe this was a step up (in quality, not difficulty of use!).

Can anyone help before I lose the plot - and my plans are ruined?

Many thanks.

Ro

I don’t know Mac’s but have you allowed the bfp in security? You do need to open TotalMix so you can click on an output and then adjust the faders for each output (headphones is also an output)
Hopefully someone who has a Mac will answer soon.

Babyface Pro Fs, Behringer ADA8200, win 10/11 PCs, Cubase/Wavelab, Adam A7X monitors.
