Is this unit a hoax? If so, please confirm that it will never be produced, so I can look elsewhere.
Announced almost one year ago, it was delayed every few months, and now at Thomann it is listed as "not available". Or am I too late? I don't get it. And no, I'm not going to buy another set of M32s.
Our Switzerland online store claims : delivery first half of february.
Yes yes, dunno how often I've seen such announcements on several stores. But this story continues each time: Short before the release, it is delayed again.
My problem is that the M1620 Pro just nails my needs, it is the perfect product. I already have a pair of M32 and one 1610 Pro, but since I cannot tell any differences from the AD/DA quality between all of them, the 1620 simply offers far more for the money.
May be this is the reason why RME is not too eager to eventually release it? Who knows.

schon klar, diese Ankündigungen kenne ich zur Genüge. Aber es ist jedes Mal dasselbe: Kurz vor Ankunft gibt es wieder einen neuen Termin.
Mein "Problem" ist, dass der 1620 genau das ist, was ich suche, ein perfektes Produkt. Ich habe zwei M32 Pro und einen 1610 Pro - die klingen für mich aber völlig gleich. Daher ist der 1620 ein echtes Schnäppchen! Vielleicht ist das genau der Grund, warum RME es nicht eilig hat, ihn endlich mal in den Markt zu werfen? Wer weiß.

I think it has to do with the buyers of these devices, they are not many, Students and Musicians don't buy such equipment for at home.
It is not produced in large amounts I guess, there is nothing to do than just wait and be patient.

We got a small quantity in the USA already and delivered some pre-orders. The unit is in production and shipping, just not yet available everywhere.
I received mine today, so they are definitely shipping.

They are indeed shipping worldwide since December, though there has been some additional delay due to the holidays.
