Topic: Feature request: Rename channels

Hi,

I'm using the new Program Channels view (quasi peak) to see what my 9.1.4 Atmos monitors are up to and I love it! Unfortunately in this context the default channel names are pretty useless. I can read the meters myself, but anyone else using the studio is completely lost. I have renamed my output channels on TotalMix, if DIGICheck somehow could read those it would solve my problem also.

Renaming would probably be helpful with the other meters too.

Right mouse click 'Appearance Settings'. Click 'Show header' and type the name that you want.

Hi Matthias,
That creates one label for the whole section, maybe I misunderstand? I was thinking that perhaps in the Input Selection one could double click the channel names and rename the channels there, or just double click on the interface like in the TotalMix.

Yes, it is one label, but per window - that would be a workaround. Re-naming the channels as such is currently not possible.

I now divided the two meter rows to separate windows with labels as follows:
Lss - Lw - L - C - R - Rw - Rss
Lrs - Ltb - Ltf - LFE - Rtf - Rtb - Rrs

The dashes are replaced by roughly 13 spaces each as the maximum line length seems to be 100 characters. With a font size of 53 I managed to align the labels with the meters, but the text takes a lot of space.

This works as a makeshift solution for now, thanks! But could I kindly ask you to consider the feature request?
