At least we have DIGIcheck on mac that is fine but... I am not sure I still have mac as DIGIcheck is so hungry and can eat even 60% of my CPU!
My machine is MacBook Pro 17' 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM + Fireface 800
Usually I need Totalyser (Core audio: input) and 4-Bar Level Meter (Hardware output). Activity monitor shows 50-60% of CPU eaten by DIGIcheck.
Is that OK? I mean do other mac users have the same problem?

That is not ok at 44 or 48 kHz. Please exit Totalyser - same? Please use Totalyser and exit 4-Bar - same?
Sample rate: 44,1
4-Bar alone: 9-12% (hardware level/playback)
Totalyser: 45-53% (core audio/input)
I am not sure what values I should expect.

What happens here on my MBP 15 (early 2008) C2D 2.5 GHz, 4 GB ram and FF800
4-Bar alone: around 10 % (hardware level/playback)
Totalyser: around 15 % (core audio/input)
both ca: 20 % or less

as you can read here the feedback about DC Mac is quite low. Therefore we do not have much experience how much CPU load is caused on specific models (only our own). Please note two things:
- On Mac the CPU load is shown per Core. So your 60% equals 30% on the whole computer (or on a Windows PC).
- The Goniometer (part of Totalyser) works differently under Mac OS. Please try to reduce the refresh rate to 45 ms and see if it reduces the CPU load. If that makes a big difference then we might be able to optimize the Mac Totalyser for less CPU.

to 45 ms or 25 ms, just a question about the cpu %
measure DigiCheck only or is DC + system valid in Activity Monitor.app ?
