Topic: TotalMix doesn't get signal from 12Mic

Hello all... brand new RME user here and I could really use some help, please!  I just purchased a UFX III and a 12Mic and I'm struggling to get TotalMix to recognize the signals from the 12Mic.  For reference, here's my setup (pretty straight forward).

MacBook Pro M2 Max - Sequoia 15.3
FireFace UFX III
12Mic
Focusrite ISA428 Preamp
2 Neve Clone Preamps

Software:
I successfully loaded the DriverKit (v.4.18)
I successfully loaded RME Connector for the 12 Mic and connected to my network via ethernet... works great.
I successfully loaded DigiCheck NG, but haven't got to really use it yet.

Connections:
I connected a 15 ft. USB 3 cable from the UFX III directly to my MacBook.
The mic inputs on the UFX III show up as expected in TM.
I have the 2 Neve Clones going into the Focusrite and sending all the channels to ADAT 1 via an optical cable. All show up as expected in TM.

For the 12Mic, I have tried using 2 BNC cables with no luck. So I purchased an SFP adapter and Fiber cable ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0062K9Y68?re … e&th=1 and https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09K3KG7KF?re … &th=1) but still no luck.

I get a signal on the 12Mic and I can also see it in the RME Controller, but not in TotalMix.

I've also played around a lot with the word clock to make sure everything is in synch, and I think everything is good (nothing red or flashing).

I've walked through everything several times but I must be missing something. I would be extremely grateful for any advice or tips to get this going!!!

Re: TotalMix doesn't get signal from 12Mic

- Word clock is not needed, 12Mic can get clock via MADI.
- You need a TM FX version supporting Auxdevice for the 12Mic
At least TM FX 1.97b2, latest I saw is v1.98
Not sure whether it is already bundled with the driver, you might need a single file download of TM FX binary from web server
- Best to use MADI frame size 96k, for recognizing also double speed, needs to be set on UFX III and 12Mic
- You need to configure routing of MADI channels on the 12Mic
Access 12Mic via LAN using web browser, click to routing
  a) the channel from/to MADI bus, which it uses, e.g.:
from "Analog" 1-12 to "MADI optical" 1-12
from "MADI optical" 1+2 to "Analog" phones output
  b) all other channels have to be passed through
MADI optical 13-64 to MADI optical 13-64

It is not necessary to configure the routing of the MADI channels if the device comes straight from a new package:
Quick start tutorial

Quick start preset and how to activate it is explained here:

Re: TotalMix doesn't get signal from 12Mic

I suspect that due to incorrect clocking there was no audio first, then trying to fix it riouting was changed manually...or so...
