Topic: madi chain with 6432 and micstasy

hi there
i need the following setup:

a pc with hdspe and a 6432 in the machine room to get a lot of aes i/o's in the machine room and a micstasy with madi option in the studio for getting 8 mic channels and 8 aes output channels for speakers in the studio room.

the connection between both rooms should be madi.

is this possible and how to handle the channels on a madichain ?

Frank,

just loop 8 of the AES output channels on the 6432 right back into the device. You can do this very inexpensively with a Dsub plug and a few wires, if you don't mind a little soldering. Then daisy-chain the 6432 and the Micstasy and set the Micstasy's ID so that it uses the channels you have looped through on the 6432.

The D-LOOP-T loopback adapter is available from RME dealers as well.
