Topic: MIDI Remote - Micstacy and 648

It has been a fun day.
I love trying to solve problems.
but i have come to the point where i need your assistance please.

madi card -> 648 -> micstacy -> return to madi.
( madi loop)

IS there a way to control both devices (micstacy and 648) using the virtual madi midi port 3 within the madi loop as described? possible?

the story so far:
micstacy is setup internally such that
AU = off
Id = 2
bA = 1

i have not setup the 648 internally so that it is on any bank or ID ... however i get an online message in the midi remote software when
iD= 1
Can i change  the bank and id inside the 648?

both units are set to madi as the remote control option.

When i use midiremote 4.2 software, i get no response from micstacy when both devices are in a loop.. however i can see that the software is still controlling the 648 -
if i connect the micstacy to the madi card individually (648 out of the loop) i can control using remote software with bank= 1 and id = 2 in the software - so it works!!!!

Placing 648 back into chain and i lose control..

i am thinking that as the 648 is a 64 channel there is no midi thru?
under options in midi remote software there is "program device ID" is this of any assistance?

best regards to all musicians and engineers

Correct, connect MIDI out to MIDI in (loopback) on the ADI-648 to pass thru to the Micstasy.
