Hi,

I'm looking to get a Power Mac G5 to primarily run as a music server.  I'm thinking either getting a PCI card to have an AES/EBU output to an external DAC or getting a RME card that I can output analogue to my amp.  I would also like to have a s/pdif optical input so I can connect other devices.  Thoughts on recommendations?  If I were to use a Windows-based PC would the solution be any different?
