Ive had my Multiface 1 and cardbus for a very long time

I am now about to upgrade my laptop, or i was going to until i found out that all the laptops ive looked ta today dont have a pcmcia slots anymore.

So my question is, is there a way around this, i know there are adapters out there but does anyone have any experience of these working and not affecting performance?

Are there any systems i should be avoiding?

ideally i'm  looking for a dual sore laptop with a l15" or more screen and lots of ram - can anyone suggest a system they have thats working perfectly?

if all this fails, i could go desktop and buy a pci hard for the multiface1 ?
