Topic: Constant Fireface800 droupout

Hello,

I am trying to install my fireface800 to my sony vaio latop am getting constant dropping out of the fireface when using cubase5 on windows7.

Cubase5 v - 5.1.1 build 120
Windows 7
Sony Vaio Laptop model vpccw17fd
intel core 2 duo t6600 2.2

I have tried using the legacy firewire drivers but it did not solve the problem.

any ideas?

Please be more specific. What exactly "drops"?
Have you tested this?

What I mean by drop out is that the fireface800 disconnects (red host light turns on) totally randomly.

It usually happens within a minute of windows7 loading and i don't have to do anything specific for it to happen.

What Firewire chipset is build into your computer (Texas Instrument, JMicron, VIA, LSI etc)? Did you try the "(legacy)" driver yet?

If you read the first post he wrote he had been using them.
