Topic: loopback recording problem! please help ?!

I'm trying to record in Soundforge while playing a DVD video in VLC.

I have the loopback function working so i can see the levels coming into Soundforge however im getting another problem.

As soon as I hit record in soundforge the audio of the DVD drops in pitch and stutters very subtly.

The sound is coming from 1+2 and im trying to record in 3+4 in soundforge...

Its really frustrating!  Perhaps its just a bug in VLC ?

Did you match the sampling rate of your recording to the one used for DVD playback (which should be 48kHz)?

Check this first! Also see what sample rate the RME card is showing in its setting dialog. Before and during the record.

bizzarely its not doing it today, even at 44,100 - but thanks for the help...  ill bare that in mind if it does it again!

I did update VLC the other day but i didnt restart, so maybe that was the problem.
