Topic: How can I get rid of Vista open file security warnings

I did install Fireface UC driver update 0.936 successfully following RME's readme instructions.
On startup of the PC I now always get two "Open file security warning"s for the firefaceusb.exe (settings) and the firefaceusbmix.exe (mixer/matrix) applications.
How can I get rid of these warnings?

Re: How can I get rid of Vista open file security warnings

If you look at this Open File Security Warning window that pops up at boot, you will see a check box at the bottom that says "Always ask me" or similar. Uncheck this box first, then click "Run", and the prompts will no longer come up when the apps launch.

Thanks Jeff
Seems obvious, but unfortunately this did not work.
The warning came up again every time I restarted the PC.

Do the UAC Off / On Dance:

Oh, sorry, I didn't notice Vista. Win 7 respects the checkbox choice now, and it's not necessary to turn off UAC.

Thanks Matthias.
The certificate for Uwe Kirst (driver) is there, the one for Ingenieurbuero Bjoernsen is not.
It does not show up in the downloaded fireface_usb.cat (security catalog) either.

Re: How can I get rid of Vista open file security warnings

All you need to do is turn off UAC, restart, uncheck the boxes and click run, then next time you start the prompts will not come up. You can turn UAC back on again after a restart if you like.
