Topic: How to connect Fireface UC to Digi003 via ADAT lightpipe for ProTools

heylo!!

i have a Fireface UC and a Digi003 that i'm trying to connect via an ADAT lightpipe cable.
i also have a BNC cable for the word clock.

Setup:

Fireface ADAT out > Digi003 ADAT in
Fireface (master) Word Clock out > Digi003 (slave) World Clock in

correct?

what other steps do i need to make in TotalMix and ProTools LE 8 in order to
use the RME channels in ProTools?

i'm a novice with ProTools and i'm not very adept with TotalMix either. smile

Hi,

You will need to use TotalMix to route the analog inputs to ADAT out. If you want to use the FFUC outs as well, then route the ADAT inputs to analog outs. You don't necessarily need to use Standalone mode, as you can keep USB plugged in for access to the settings, but this video should help you understand how to set the Mixer/Matrix correctly.
