Topic: FF 400, Freeze problems + volume knob goes mad

hi.. I own my FF400 for about 2 years and iv'e recently encountered two major problems.

1) I work on cubase5,Win Xp and in about every 20 seconds the sound freezes (in every program cubase, winamp etc).
i tried tweaking my windows in order to upgrade my performance and i tried changing the cubase settings in every possible way
but i had no luck at all.

2) i can't use the fireface knob anymore. when i move it the gain faders goes wild. (so i only work with my mouse)


please help a frustrated guy out!

2) Possible hardware malfunction, which would need repair.
