Topic: High frequency whine in headphone output, only when ASIO active -FF800

The title says it all.

I plug headphones into my FF800 and as soon as I start a program that accesses the ASIO drivers (Samplitude), there is a high pitch whine sound which is quite distracting.

Do I have a dud unit? I've never mixed with headphones on the FireFace in the years I've owned it, but just discovered this fault recently.
My HDSP Multiface doesn't have this problem.


Suggestions? Anything you'd like me to test?
