Topic: Fast playback with FF UC in itunes

Hello all,

I'm setting up my Fireface UC with a Mac Pro 2x2.26 Nehalem 8-core.

I've got the latest drivers and flashed them all up to date. Here's the problem I'm having -

When I play back music from iTunes (which I like to have handy for comparisons when working) the audio plays back faster than the files are intended. It's not double speed, but everything sounds a bit like Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Anyone else have this problem, or know a fix?

I can't select sample rate via iTunes, and don't know where to change this in the FF UC (I don't see a selection in Totalmix)

All help is apprectaied - this is the first time I'm using RME products, having made the switch from Pro Tools to a Fireface/Logic setup!

cheers

joe

Re: Fast playback with FF UC in itunes

Check Fireface USB Settings, the current sample rate is selected at the top and displayed at the bottom (Clock Mode).

Re: Fast playback with FF UC in itunes

There is a special Fireface Settings App in your program folder with the clock setup. Set the clock source to "internal" if there is no external clock master for the UC in your studio and the Pitch setting below to 0.000 %.
