Topic: loopback doesn't work on HDSPe AIO ??

Hi,

Im' trying using an AIO for a 3 way stereo system with Foobar/ console/  convolverVST.

I should be able in Totalmix to have the input meter showing something in the input panel when making a loopback from A1 output (ctrl-click, becomes red), but it does not (whereas it does for guys who did it before me with other RME soundcards....).

Is there a problem with this AIO, or did I miss something ?

Thank you

Francois

Re: loopback doesn't work on HDSPe AIO ??

perhaps is the answer to this post te right one ???

"Hi,
I recently moved from Multiface I to a Fireface 800. When setting Total Mix on the Multiface to loopback mode I could see the input meters of TM react to what was being played. With the Fireface the channel meters still display the actual hardware input levels although the recorded signal would be the looped back signal.

Is it supposed to work like this or is there a setting I overlooked? Didn't find something in the manual.

Regards
Thoma"

Yes it is, and AFAIR mentioned in the manual too.

Matthias,

Might I suggest that the manual is a bit "light" ? Your novice users spend hours to find out how things work, that is not very pleasant. Maybe you only aim at confirmed users...

This has been pointed out on several forums !

I almost threw the HDSPe AIO away...
