Topic: ADI-8 AE fails after being moved around ..

Hi RME!

I have already written your support-email regarding this issue, but due to the grim nature of this issue (meaning - my studio is running on a spare pair of horrible converters, which name do not dare speak) i hope its ok that i'm posting here as well, in case someone have had a similar experience.

So .. the other day, i added some new racks and whatnot to my studio, and as a part of this i moved my RME ADI-8 AE (the Anniversary Edition ADI-8 DS) to another rack. When i switched it on again, all the lights were flickering: signal, overs, everything - including the light in the ADAT-outputs on the rear. It kinda looks the same, as when the unit is initializing at power on - except its stuck in an endless loop. Could be a PSU issue perhaps?

Best regards,
Rune / FishCorp

Alright. Can you advice a repair-option in Copenhagen, Denmark? I should note the unit is out of warranty ..

All the best,
Rune

You can contact http://www.soundworks.dk/
I guess they will send it to Germany, though.

Hmm - i might as well do business with you (RME) directly and save a little time. Can you provide me with shipping details?
