Topic: HDSP 9632 on Intel D945GCLF2 with Realtek HD Audio

Hello,

I can't read any music file with Foobar 2K on my htpc (HDSP 9632 on Intel D945GCLF2 with Realtek HD Audio). I just hear some "music" with incredible distorsion and crackings. I've tried to install the latest drivers for Realtek (as explained somewhere else in the forum), then deactivate the Realtek HD Audio, and even remove the drivers, but it is impossible to make the 9632 card work normally. I've tried with a 96-8 PST and it is worse, I haven't any sound coming out from the card...).

What could I do else ?

PS : the card is mounted on a flexible risercard. Is it that which poses a problem?

That might well be, as this changes the PCI timings.

No, the risercard doesn't disturb at all, I just tried with the same risercard on a Via C7 motherboard, and everything is alright. I've seen that the HDSP 9632 becomes very hot when plugged on the Intel motherborad, I wonder if the motherboard itself is not "broken"..........

Anyway, I will try to buy a new card, thanks for the answer.......
