Topic: HDSP 9652 Dim ADAT Ports 1 & 2

Hello,

I have had a HDSP 9652 Version 1.6 with the latest firmware & driver on XP Pro x64.
This unit is installed on a SuperMicro 7DAE Xeon Quad Core using mainly Nuendo & Cubase 5.

Recently I installed an AEB-8O for headphone mixes and for analog outputs when needed.
Everything has been fine no problems and I dig RME products.

However, recently I noticed the ADAT 1 & 2 light outputs seemed dim. When I disconnect the recently installed AEB-8O, I no longer have output through those pipes. Inputs to ADAT 1 & 2 are still o.k.
ADAT 3 both in & outputs are 100%.

If I connect the AEB-8O to either the ADAT 1 or 2 internal outputs to the AEB-8O card, I have signal outputs on all channels no artifacts.

This has all happened not long after the AEB-8O, so I beginning to wonder if it was a good idea.
Not casting aspersion on the reputation of RME or their products, just stating a personal fact.

I've tried re-install, firmware, resetting all the stupid things one might try in denial of the fact the ports are dim. I guess I want someone from RME to give me their point of view.

I'm thinking I might need to drag out the tracing tools, any ideas?
What IC's are typically the culprits?
