Topic: fireface 800: front inputs 9 + 10 inactive in cubase 5

hello,

tomorrow i want to record some drums within cubase with my fireface 800
when i tried a test setup just now, using the 4 preamps on the frontside of the fireface [channel 7,8,9 and 10] i noticed channel 9 and 10 aren't active within cubase. i can't select them and in the "device setup" window only channels 1-8 are active
does anyone know what i should do to activate those two channels to use all 4 preamps at the same time within cubase?

okay, now they are active [had to virtual add them in the vst connections panel]
but still there's no signal coming thru from those tho channels..

a clue anyone?

Check you can see signal in Totalmix first.
Check you've selected to use the front inputs and not the back in RME control panel.
Phantom needed?

yeah cables are working, the signal is present in the rme mixer window, perhaps i should change settings in the matrix?

In Cubase: Hit reset on the I/O pages , then check the VST connections again.

when i fired up the fireface and opened up a new project in cubase this morning everything worked as it should!
