Topic: FF400: SPDIF in out for external effect device: is it possible?

Hy,
simply want to know if i can use the SPDIF i/o to connect a TC-HELICON voiceworks. I want to use as insert for mic input.
Thanks everybody.
Andrea.

of course you can!

although the term insert is debatable... anyways it works like this: you route the mic signal to the spdif out and then record the signal that comes back trough the spdif in of the FF...

rather routing than what I would call inserting, but it does the job perfectly well!

best,
laex

DC rules!

Use totalmix to do the tight routing :

If mic is on Channel 1 input :

Route Channel 1 -> Spdif out
Route Spdif in -> Daw input

Just check about latency.

In anyway you can always record voice to the daw and insert after your TC-Electronics effect.
