I Purchased this card had with the belief that it had zero CPU load technology. After updating firmware and drivers it still performs with more cpu load than my old m-audio card. I would think that it would use a LITTLE less cpu than my m-audio. do i have to enable something to get this to work? any help would be appreciated.
You can not measure the CPU load of the card. What you see is the application. And the more channels you have the more CPU is caused by the application...
so there is no card i can get to dramatically unload CPU usage? Iv been trying out several different audio interfaces to find one that unloads cpu usage. maybe i should just upgrade to an i7. lol.
Dedicated DSP cards (Powercore, UAD) will render plugins. Audio interfaces generally don't.
