Topic: Fireface 400 problem with microphone inputs

I'm having a strange issue with the mic inputs on my Fireface 400.

The changes I make in software, turn phantom power on and off, change gain levels, do not do anything.

The phantom power light on the interface turn on and off. But the condenser mics hooked up have a low level of volume even with the phantom power off. Sliding the gain controls in the software do not change any levels.

I have updated the firmware and have the most current driver installed. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and Sonar 8.5.

I had everything working properly earlier today and in the middle of recording the gain control and phantom power stopped working.

I'm bumfuzzled!!

Re: Fireface 400 problem with microphone inputs

Have you tried reinstalling the driver? Can you test this with another PC?
Not something I've seen happening, I must admit. Does audio transfer work well? Does the mixer respond correctly? Can you make (level) changes there?

Daniel,

I have reinstalled the driver and everything seems to be working.

I will check back in if the problem surfaces again.

Thanks,
