Topic: Cant install RME PnP drivers in Windows 7 on Bootcamp

IM running Windows 7 (Bootcamp) on a Quad core 2.66ghz Xeon Mac Pro.

RME FF 800 PnP installers do not install it just unzips a load of files with no installer.

I cant find the FF in the device manager either as im aware there is Windows 7 issue with installer.

Any tips please?

cheers

David

Correct, you'll use the Update Driver wizard to install - this wizard should be directed to the folder where it will find the .inf (setup information) file inside.

Take a look under the "Other devices" heading, you should find an "unknown device" or maybe "multimedia audio controller" there, with a yellow mark to show that the driver is not installed.

Also see here: http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=7348

And if you still have trouble after correctly installing the driver, you might benefit for changing the Windows Firewire driver to "Legacy".

Dtasm try this from another thread:

Hi everyone here's a gem for you all,

I basically don't use Bootcamp, or Parallels Desktop to run my Windows apps. I use Codeweavers Crossover for Mac:

You don't need to re-boot and you don't need a Windows license. It just runs Windows apps like they were on the Mac. Got this lead from Earle Holder over at http://www.har-bal.com. and he also has a great audio program you might wanna' check out. Just thought this might help some of you out.
