on a brand new MacPro I installed only ProTools 8.03 LE and the HDSPe MADI Driver and get Audio/MIDI problems. Acticity monitor shows "CoreMIDI" does not react.  In Audio-MIDI Setup I can create a combined Audio output unit from HDSPe and internal Digital Output (Mac) and select this unit as input and output. After restart of the Mac, this selection disappeared and Standard in- and output (Mac) are selected. The result is the same no matter which software I install first. It is not depending on the hard drive (I have 4 disks and checked this on two of them). It is not depending on the computer. I had the same problem on my old MacPro. When I discard the MIDI-Drivers from ProTools MIDI functions normally. The Audio-Setup still does not memorize the setting. Any idea?
