this seems to be possible now. the only available midi-interface for iphone/ipod/ipad from line 6 called "midi mobilizer" (about 60,- euro) can be combined with a new configurable controller-software called "midi surface" (5,- euro). there is not much information about this. has anybody tested this configuration?

i am very interessted in this high-quality mobile solution. especiallly the ff400 supports an external power supply so you can use instead of this a pb rechargeble battery with power for several hours. iphone (or ipad etc.) and the ff400 are a theoretical dream team. think you could use the internal iphone-ram to directly record highres audio streams - all in the palm of your hand ;-)

some time ago i wrote to rme about this theme, but did not get any answer. the best solution indeed would be an iphone light version of total mix with unbelieveble chances in mobile recording. perhaps some time this will be reality - i hope!
