Major changes to my studio
I have a fireface 800 that Im thinking of selling
I want to go back to recording on a tape machine and then dumping that into my Alesis HD24, the fireface only has 16 adat channels
Will the RAYDAT work for my new application?
I notice that the 9652 has an adat sync that the raydat doesnt have. Will this be an issue?
I want to use the alesis hd 24 as my main tracking device and then dump into cubase for final mixing
will the adat sync with cubase as well
what is the purpose of the sync jack on the 9652?
Any help would be appreciated

RD should work just fine...
ADAT sync is for time code, useful e.g. if you want to record ADAT tapes from sessions recorded with more than one tape machine.
In your case, you won't likely need it.
