Topic: Overheating equipment RME Fireface 400

Dear RME,

Outside temperature FF400 case after 1-2 hours of work - 35-40 degrees Celsius. It seems too much. Is this normal? The device is new. Purchased seven days earlier. Thanks!

yes - I could keep my coffee warm on mine.  mlstudio - are u getting errors/ digital drones?  I've been suspicious that the unit is getting too hot and causing problems.  Was fine in a very chilly rehearsal room last week, then crashed all day the next day.

They do get hot, under gig scenarios can get too hot, keeping it under good airflow etc is a good idea.

The device working normaly. No errors reported. Just the device is damn hot... !
I do not know what the weather in other states but here in Bosnia and Herzegovina damn hot. My room was quite warm. Perhaps because of this situation the device is a little more heated. Will include additional cooling. Thank you all for your help.
