Topic: Cannot playback trough MME

Hi,

I have just bought a FF800 and I am having trouble with playback using MME.

For instance in audacity, if I select any of the analog MME outputs I get the following message when trying to playback:
"Error while opening sound device. Please check the output device settings and the project sample rate".

I am setting the project sampling rate to 44.1 KHz (same as show in control panel's system clock), and there are no other audio applications open, neither windows is configured to use the FF800 as the playback device.

If I select the same analog output with WDM the playback works fine. Also analog MME inputs work.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

My setup is:
Dell Optiplex 760
Windows XP professional SP3

I have driver v2.95 (31.01.2009) and firmware v2.77 (just upgraded from 2.66, where MME didn't work either).

The error message might be misleading, as the playback will also not work when the bit resolution and the number of channels is wrong.
