Topic: Recording screencapture with fraps

Hello,

I liked to record a little demo from my workstation screen with fraps. I've got windows 7 and a hdsp 5296 and I tried everything.

I use adat 3 1 (outputs 17/18) to go to the amplifier and I play back the cubase sound on this pair. However when I select this as playbackdevice and recording device in windows sound setup nothing seems to happen. I never get any sound recorded in the video, not when I choose "record windows 7 sound"  or use the specific adat outputs.

Doesnt the hdsp have any "wavemix" or something like that ?

Re: Recording screencapture with fraps

"Loopback". But this isn't available on the HDSP 9652 due to limited FPGA resources. But you could do it via physical ADAT loopback ...

Re: Recording screencapture with fraps

Could I maybe route the same output twice to the output pair 19/20 and use my ADA800 as a patch bay and bring those outputs to it's own second input ? (the first ones have microfones but I could maybe do it by routing adat 3 second pair to adat 1 second pair input, (if I could manage to find out how to route the output of cubase to  second playback device.
