Topic: digicheck connection options with dedicated PC

Hi -

I have a spare hdsp card that I'm planning on using to create a dedicated Digicheck machine. This will be a low spec PC hidden in a rack with an LCD screen some distance away near my monitoring position so I can all the meters easily.

has anyone else made a dedicated metering system and how have you patched it into your studio design / signal flow?

thanks

Re: digicheck connection options with dedicated PC

HI,
I have. The very best metering system I've ever used is digicheck. I run a PT HD studio that works only in audio post for video. I have a back up raid, and digicheck machine. It's a slow AMD computer running windows 7 64bit. I run Adat out of my 192 digital into my multiface, out of my multiface into my speakers. I also use the multiface as a monitor section as I really don't like the sound of the pro control I use. I just bypass the procontrol and directly into the speakers. I monitor the multiface Adat input level with digicheck for metering.
Best,
Brandon
