Topic: FF UC - Problem with Software playback

Hi everyone!

I have a problem with software playback with the FF UC.

Most of the time the soundcard works great, but now and then when i try to use it as a main sound unit for the computer or monitoring through a DAW, it sounds like i've added bitcrush or distortion to it. It happens randomly, but i think it occurs more often when i turn the soundcard off for a while and then turn it on again, but I don't know really. When i restart my computer, it goes away. So I'm guessing my unit is not faulty.

All of my drivers are up to date.

Here is my specs.

Macbook 5,1 (Uniboy 2008 model)

2 Ghz Intel Core Duo

4 gb 1067 Mhz DDR3

160 gb HDD

OSX 10.6.4

If this post is not sufficient i made a video ^^

Re: FF UC - Problem with Software playback

really? not a single post on the subject? come on ! Help me RME kenobi . You're my only hope ... . .. .. .

Re: FF UC - Problem with Software playback

yes, same here... the discussion is still open in this thread http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=7741 and probably in others too. Just do a search. But apparently there's no solution to this problem, except getting the latest gen i5/i7 macbook as it seems. Hopefully there'll be a solution, but who knows.

Re: FF UC - Problem with Software playback

ah big_smile thanks big_smile at least now I know that my ff uc is not broken or anything .. Guess im gonna have to restart before every use or something , just to be sure . Not a nice thing to happen during a live performance tongue but thanks !
